Arson charge in Canada?

A few months back some ************ lit both of my parents cars on fire. We were left without a car for weeks. I seen him do it with my own eyes o never chased after him or anything. I called 911 right away. The cars were really close to the house the firefighter said it was just a few minutes from catching the house. My mother and 11 year old brother were in bed and both could have lost their lives if my father and I were not awake. The police found the gas jug he used in my driveway and arrested him. He was denied bale twice. Me and my father are testifying at court. What would the charge be around here Bastards like this get off so easy I could have lost everything cause of him.
