How long does it take to get a high alcohol percentage in homemaid whine?

You'll be lucky to get more than 2% with bakers' yeast. If you use a champagne yeast, 18% is possible before the alcohol kills the yeast. There is no way to get much higher by fermentation alone. The "whine" you get will come from you when you taste the slop you have produced.
