I dropped a jug of listerine on the carpet and now there's a white spot..and I can't wash it out either!?

I'm uming the spot is from the alcohol in the product, but I thought using soap and water would get it out by now (I've dont the process twice)...Am I missing a secret ingredient or do I just need more elbow grease?
