Do you think I'm ambidextrous?
I primarily use my right hand. I write with my right, but I can draw fairly well with my left hand if I want to. I bowl with both my right and left hand, but my left hand usually gets me more spares and strikes. When I sit down to eat a meal, I always eat using my left hand; my left hand to hold the fork, spoon, etc. When I go to open a jar or open a jug of milk, I absolutely always use my right hand to support and my left hand to twist open the lid. If I attempt to open the jar with my right hand, it works, but it feels very awkward. I know that since I use my right hand to support the jar, that would probably be normal for a right handed person, but I once took a poll here on Yahoo Answers asking right handed people what hands they opened jars with. Some said "Right hand! DUH!" But others replied "Wow, I've never thought of it before, but I open with my left." So what do you think? My left hand is in the picture a lot more than you're average right handed individual. Usually, you're either strictly right handed or strictly left handed. My father is right handed and my mother is left. My uncle, who is my Dad's brother, does everything sitting down with his left hand, and everything standing up with his right. Or vice versa, if I got that mixed up. When I was a toddler, first learning to write, I used my left hand, and my parents were seeing me as being left handed, but I switched later on, and started with my right hand. But I'm wondering if genes could have anything to do with it. Anyway, just a thought...
